Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe collects.

What our shop stores about an order

When Stripe tells us a payment went through, we store this in our shop's database (an Upstash Redis database that belongs to our Vercel project):

• the Stripe checkout session ID and the IDs of the Stripe events we received
• whether the order is paid and when, and whether it was a test payment
• the email address you gave Stripe at checkout
• when your download link was created, when your download link expires and how many times it has been used
• a link version number, if a new link was issued for the order
• whether and when the link was shown on the page you return to after paying

We don't send you any email, not even the download link. Your link is only on the page you return to after paying. We keep the email address Stripe collected only to match a support or deletion request to your order and to leave the owner's own test purchases out of our sales count. We don't send newsletters or marketing.

Logs

The logs our shop's code writes note order IDs and what happened to them. They show a masked email address only, like j***@example.com, never the full address or any keys.

Our host is Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel keeps its own request logs to run the site, and those can include details such as your IP address and browser. Vercel's own privacy policy covers those logs.

Cookies and tracking

Our pages set no cookies and use no third-party analytics. The only counting we do is described here.

Each time the product page loads, we add one to a daily count of page loads for the source tag in the link: yt-v1 for the link from our video, none when the link has no tag, and other for any other tag. We store only the date, which of those three groups it was, and the running total. These are page loads, not people: a refresh counts again. Our shop's code doesn't store your IP address, browser details, cookies, the page you came from, or any tag that isn't on our list, and it keeps no per-visitor logs. How long we keep it

Order details, event IDs and download counts are deleted automatically 90 days after payment. The daily page load counts hold no personal details and are kept with no end date. To have your order details deleted sooner, email hello@skaldstudio.io.
